From Miriam, Hal's mom:
Just talked with Hal and Chris and some of the children at HIS Home. They are all fine - living out in the yard because of stress fractures in both houses, but basically everything is good. They have food and water and Chris has been helping at a clinic, doing all the things her medical training prepared her for. Both houses are in good shape - and what a miracle that is! God led them to these two houses out of the many that were available. In fact, two of our former board members left the board because we rented these houses instead of some cheaper, less sturdy houses (which, by the way, are completely gone!) God's provision! If you can get the word out to your e-mail friends, I would appreciate it. Thank you for your prayers.

I also received this article from a friend. I may have to eat my words and I will gladly admit I was wrong! After so adamantly warning about not doing this, I am considering using whatever pull I can to get my son home, even contacting my state senator. I am still concerned about any ramifications, but at this point, as the anxiety and questions of whether I will ever see my son again start to settle in my brain and in my heart, I wonder if the risk is worth it if it means bringing my son home now!
If you fele led to act on this by contacting your own state senators, please do so. Maybe the more people who encourage this will actually make it happen!
Pray on friends!
