...which football team they will root for.
Of course, Princess N has no desire to even watch football, but she knows who she is supposed to root for...you know, if she ever watches football.
And just for the record, we in no way, shape, or form, think that what is going on with their quarterback right now is defendable. We don't pretend to know who they are, what they believe, or what they think. We do however, have to explain to Quarterback that money goes to people's heads and that sometimes they behave badly, breaking the law even. And in discussing this with him, we also tell him that we think the powers that be in the organization should be putting their QB on the bench and opt to find a new one...perhaps one that has a bit more character...like Tim Tebow perhaps.
But regardless, it is the Steelers that Roundabout Geek has been a DIE-HARD fan of since birth - through good times, bad times, the Cordell "Slash" Stewart times and the Tommy Maddox times. This current QB isn't going to deter him from changing his fidelity in his team. It is unfortunate...a dark spot in an otherwise stellar decade...after all, he did lead this team to TWO championships in the last five years.
Alas, the Steelers are a household name around here. I don't see that changing any time soon. So, our kids will still wear the black and gold...
Even if they've only been here for six weeks.
