Hal shared this video with us on Facebook earlier today. His comment was to make sure you have kleenex handy. It is very good and heartbreaking at the same time. It is Haiti - a beautiful picture of such beautiful people...before and after the earthquake. Please pay special attention to one of the last screens...you might just think twice about what you do with your money...
Here's the amazing work that Hopital Sacre Coeur is doing in Milot Haiti. It is miraculous what they are doing for the earthquake victims. http://www.crudem.org http://www.stpatrickcenter.......
Also, please pray for Hal and Chris. They will be receiving some of the people from this hospital. Pray that they can help the successfully transtion back into a normal life after such a harrowing experience.
Always hoping. Always praying. Always loving. Always.

me and my bear
Okay, so I know it seems that most of my pictures of late are of Joshua. What can I say? He's here, with me ALL DAY LONG, so there are a lot of photo opportunities with him compared to Princess N and Quarterback. I do take some of them too...and will share some later.
Right now, though, I have some pictures of Joshua to share with you...pictures of Joshua with his favorite stuffed friend...a bear named Alfie that he received from his Uncle J and Aunt D...and little A of course.

He loves this bear! He sleeps with it every night and walks around with it during the day. He is saying "teddy bear" really well now too! So sweet.
yogurt! yummm!!!
One of the more frustrating things of bringing two-year old Joshua home has been trying to figure out what he will and won't eat. After six weeks, we think we've gotten most of it figured out, though there are a lot of things he hasn't tried yet.
Tonight we made quesidillas (okay so I know I didn't spell that right...oh well) on our George Foreman grill that the in-laws got us for Christmas. Roundabout Geek got out his Frank's Red Hot...he eats it on almost everything. As is custom, Joshua wanted some on his plate...along with the texas caviar, salsa and sour cream.
Oh, how I wish I had my camera out and ready to get this reaction when he took his first taste of the Frank's. It was, as mastercard would say, Priceless. He kind of squinted his eyes like he was trying to figure out what it was in his mouth. Then he smacked his lips, stuck out his tongue, blinked his eyes, and just looked at all of us with tears welling up in his beautiful brown eyes. This went on for a few more minutes and then he dipped it in the hot sauce again, wanting more!
It really was priceless. Quarterback remarked that if we'd had a video camera, we could have videoed it and sent it in to AFV...it seriously was THAT funny.
But since I don't have pictures, you will have to take my word for it.
I do have pictures though...of him eating one of his favorite foods...yogurt! Yum!!!

we start 'em young
All three of our children learned early on that there is one thing that they have no say in...
...which football team they will root for.
Of course, Princess N has no desire to even watch football, but she knows who she is supposed to root for...you know, if she ever watches football.
And just for the record, we in no way, shape, or form, think that what is going on with their quarterback right now is defendable. We don't pretend to know who they are, what they believe, or what they think. We do however, have to explain to Quarterback that money goes to people's heads and that sometimes they behave badly, breaking the law even. And in discussing this with him, we also tell him that we think the powers that be in the organization should be putting their QB on the bench and opt to find a new one...perhaps one that has a bit more character...like Tim Tebow perhaps.
But regardless, it is the Steelers that Roundabout Geek has been a DIE-HARD fan of since birth - through good times, bad times, the Cordell "Slash" Stewart times and the Tommy Maddox times. This current QB isn't going to deter him from changing his fidelity in his team. It is unfortunate...a dark spot in an otherwise stellar decade...after all, he did lead this team to TWO championships in the last five years.
Alas, the Steelers are a household name around here. I don't see that changing any time soon. So, our kids will still wear the black and gold...
Even if they've only been here for six weeks.
brothers
Sometimes I still can't believe that I can take these pictures...pictures of two little boys, brothers by the grace of our Great and Glorious God, brought together by a horrific natural disaster and a whole lot of miracles.
After six weeks, I still can't believe it.
These two are forever....
brothers.

daddy's little princess
A few weeks ago, Roundabout Geek and Princess N went to a Daddy-Daughter Dance. It was the first time they had done something like this before. It was, you could say, a "real" date.
Daddy bought Daughter a corsage....
Daddy bought Daughter a corsage....
Then they went out for dinner at a local restaurant. And after dinner, it was time to dance. And they had a great time....
Daddy and his little princess....
boys will be boys
These...
And how can you just not fall in love with THIS face???
are my boys. All three of them. Roundabout Geek, Quarterback and Joshua.
Roundabout Geek was headed to the Big Ten Tournament today with some clients. First game - Ohio State versus Illinois - a nail biter. Minnesota versus Purdue - you know, our ALMA MATER - not so much. Startig to wonder if they are purposely losing the game...down by 30 points at one point PAH-THE-TIC!!!
But, I digress.
Before RBT Geek got his shower, he and my other two boys had some good, old fashioned guy time.
And not to be outdone, Reese had to get involved too.
I love my boys...all three of them. And I am so glad that I have all three of them under one roof. Praise the Lord!!!
